Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLRMT RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 13 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of POLRMT’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where POLRMT RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types POLRMT is over-expressed in tumor.

STAD, COAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where POLRMT tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
