Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR3E RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLR3E data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher POLR3E RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR3E expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BRCA and READ show a favorable association.
KIRP, BRCA, and READ are the cancer types where POLR3E RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
