Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2M RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLR2M data layer compared with 2 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uveal melanoma (UVM), where higher POLR2M RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2M expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as KIRC and THYM show a favorable association.
UVM, KIRC, and OV are the cancer types where POLR2M RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
