Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2M Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POLR2M data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher POLR2M Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2M expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

SKCM and UCEC are the cancer types where POLR2M Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
