Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2K mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POLR2K data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher POLR2K mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2K expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and OV are the cancer types where POLR2K mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
