Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2G RNA is linked to patient survival in 28 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated POLR2G data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in adrenocortical carcinoma (ACC), where higher POLR2G RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2G expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and CHOL show a favorable association.
ACC, HNSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where POLR2G RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
