Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR2B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POLR2B data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher POLR2B mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POLR2B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUAD and LSCC show a favorable association.

LUAD, LSCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where POLR2B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
