Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR1G RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 16 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of POLR1G’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where POLR1G RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types POLR1G is over-expressed in tumor.
COAD, HNSC, and BLCA are the cancer types where POLR1G tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
