Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POLR1F RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 15 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of POLR1F’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD), where POLR1F RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types POLR1F is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and UCEC show the opposite, repressed pattern.
STAD, COAD, and HNSC are the cancer types where POLR1F tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
