Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, POFUT1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated POFUT1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher POFUT1 Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated POFUT1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LUSC and UCEC show a favorable association.
LUSC, PRAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where POFUT1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
