PODN

Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PODN RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 12 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PODN’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.

The strongest signal is observed in thyroid carcinoma (THCA), where PODN RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PODN is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as THCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.

THCA, KICH, and BLCA are the cancer types where PODN tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
