Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PNPO Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PNPO data layer compared with 20 for mass-spec protein and 3 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in esophageal carcinoma (ESCA), where higher PNPO Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PNPO expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
ESCA and LIHC are the cancer types where PNPO Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
