Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PNPLA6 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PNPLA6 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 9 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher PNPLA6 mass-spec protein is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PNPLA6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and PDAC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LUAD, and UCEC are the cancer types where PNPLA6 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
