Across TCGA patient cohorts, PNKP protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,304 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PNKP-associated genes across cancer lineages are ZSCAN22, NUP62, and PPP5C. Each is linked with PNKP in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PNKP-to-partner and partner-to-PNKP results are reported.
