Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PMCHL1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PMCHL1 data layer.

The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal papillary cell carcinoma (KIRP), where higher PMCHL1 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PMCHL1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and HNSC show a favorable association.

KIRP, ESCA, and LIHC are the cancer types where PMCHL1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
