Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLXNA1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PLXNA1 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher PLXNA1 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLXNA1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as ESCA and SCLC show a favorable association.
MESO, ACC, and KIRC are the cancer types where PLXNA1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
