Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLPP7 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 14 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PLPP7’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA), where PLPP7 RNA is repressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PLPP7 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as BLCA and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
BLCA, KICH, and UCEC are the cancer types where PLPP7 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
