Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLPP6 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLPP6 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PLPP6 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLPP6 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
SKCM, LIHC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PLPP6 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
