Across TCGA patient cohorts, PLPBP protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 9,575 significant associations in total. CCRCC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PLPBP-associated genes across cancer lineages are ASH2L, BRF2, and ERLIN2. Each is linked with PLPBP in more than 8 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PLPBP-to-partner and partner-to-PLPBP results are reported.
