Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLOD3 RNA is linked to patient survival in 22 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PLOD3 data layer compared with 6 for mutation status and 7 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in mesothelioma (MESO), where higher PLOD3 RNA is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLOD3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.

MESO, KICH, and UVM are the cancer types where PLOD3 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
