Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLOD3 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLOD3 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LSCC), where higher PLOD3 mass-spec protein is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLOD3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.

LSCC, HNSC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PLOD3 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
