Across TCGA patient cohorts, PLK1 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,126 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PLK1-associated genes across cancer lineages are NCAPG, RAD51AP1, and TTK. Each is linked with PLK1 in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PLK1-to-partner and partner-to-PLK1 results are reported.
