Across TCGA patient cohorts, PLIN2 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 15,801 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PLIN2-associated genes across cancer lineages are MMP8, SLC2A5, and RAB42. Each is linked with PLIN2 in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PLIN2-to-partner and partner-to-PLIN2 results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, PLIN2 versus MMP8 in GBM, with a Pearson correlation of 0.56.
