Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLG mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 9 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLG data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 8 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher PLG mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and OV show a favorable association.

COAD, LUAD, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PLG mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
