Across TCGA patient cohorts, PLEC protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 12,825 significant associations in total. PDAC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PLEC-associated genes across cancer lineages are MMP28, MYBL2, and GLT8D2. Each is linked with PLEC in more than 7 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PLEC-to-partner and partner-to-PLEC results are reported.

Each partner links to its own Q-omics profile. The scatter plot shows the strongest example, PLEC versus MMP28 in HNSC, with a Pearson correlation of 0.33.
