Across TCGA patient cohorts, PLEC mutation is significantly associated with the total protein of many other genes, with 125 significant associations in total. COAD shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PLEC-associated genes across cancer lineages are Caspase-7-cleavedD198, eIF4E, and Cyclin-B1. Each is linked with PLEC in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PLEC-to-partner and partner-to-PLEC results are reported.
