Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PLAC8L1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PLAC8L1 data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher PLAC8L1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PLAC8L1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.
KIRC, SARC, and SKCM are the cancer types where PLAC8L1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
