Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PKNOX1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PKNOX1 data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 7 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher PKNOX1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PKNOX1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
KIRC, LUSC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PKNOX1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
