Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PKM Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PKM data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PKM Mutation is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PKM expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC and SCLC are the cancer types where PKM Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
