Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PKHD1L1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PKHD1L1 data layer compared with 11 for mutation status and 2 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in skin cutaneous melanoma (SKCM), where higher PKHD1L1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PKHD1L1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM and HNSC show a favorable association.

SKCM, KIRP, and HNSC are the cancer types where PKHD1L1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
