Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PKD2L2 RNA is linked to patient survival in 24 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PKD2L2 data layer compared with 5 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in kidney renal clear cell carcinoma (KIRC), where higher PKD2L2 RNA is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PKD2L2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as HNSC and UCS show a favorable association.
KIRC, UVM, and HNSC are the cancer types where PKD2L2 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
