Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PKD2L1 RNA is linked to patient survival in 26 of 34 cancer types, making it the most broadly survival-associated PKD2L1 data layer compared with 7 for mutation status and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in cervical squamous cell carcinoma and endocervical adenocarcinoma (CESC), where higher PKD2L1 RNA is associated with better overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PKD2L1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CESC and KIRP show a favorable association.
CESC, ACC, and KIRP are the cancer types where PKD2L1 RNA most reproducibly stratifies survival.
