Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIWIL2 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIWIL2 data layer compared with 19 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in breast invasive carcinoma (BRCA), where higher PIWIL2 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIWIL2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as BLCA and UCEC show a favorable association.

BRCA, ESCA, and LUAD are the cancer types where PIWIL2 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
