Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PITHD1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PITHD1 data layer compared with 22 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PITHD1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PITHD1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, SCLC, and SKCM are the cancer types where PITHD1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
