Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIRT Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIRT data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher PIRT Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIRT expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD, ESCA, and UCEC are the cancer types where PIRT Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
