Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIP5K1B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 1 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIP5K1B data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher PIP5K1B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIP5K1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUAD are the cancer types where PIP5K1B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
