Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIP4P1 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 6 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIP4P1 data layer compared with 25 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PIP4P1 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIP4P1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and LUAD show a favorable association.

HNSC, LSCC, and CCRCC are the cancer types where PIP4P1 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
