Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIM3 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 3 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIM3 data layer compared with 23 for mass-spec protein and 1 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung squamous cell carcinoma (LUSC), where higher PIM3 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIM3 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker.
LUSC, TGCT, and SKCM are the cancer types where PIM3 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
