Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIK3CG Mutation is linked to patient survival in 8 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIK3CG data layer compared with 28 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where higher PIK3CG Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIK3CG expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and HNSC show a favorable association.
LUAD, UCEC, and HNSC are the cancer types where PIK3CG Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
