Across TCGA patient cohorts, PIGW protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 3,294 significant associations in total. GBM shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PIGW-associated genes across cancer lineages are SRSF6, HNRNPU, and HDHD5-AS1. Each is linked with PIGW in more than 1 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PIGW-to-partner and partner-to-PIGW results are reported.
