Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PIGA Mutation is linked to patient survival in 2 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PIGA data layer compared with 24 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.

The strongest signal is observed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), where higher PIGA Mutation is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PIGA expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as SKCM show a favorable association.

COAD and SKCM are the cancer types where PIGA Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
