Across TCGA patient cohorts, PI16 protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 11,120 significant associations in total. BRCA shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PI16-associated genes across cancer lineages are RHOJ, ABCA8, and MAMDC2. Each is linked with PI16 in more than 6 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PI16-to-partner and partner-to-PI16 results are reported.
