Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PHB mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 7 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PHB data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (CCRCC), where higher PHB mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PHB expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as LSCC and UCEC show a favorable association.

CCRCC, LSCC, and UCEC are the cancer types where PHB mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
