Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PGRMC2 mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 5 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PGRMC2 data layer compared with 17 for mass-spec protein and 2 for mutation status.
The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher PGRMC2 mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PGRMC2 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as CCRCC and HNSC show a favorable association.
GBM, CCRCC, and HNSC are the cancer types where PGRMC2 mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
