Across TCGA patient cohorts, PGLS protein abundance is significantly associated with the RNA expression of many other genes, with 14,406 significant associations in total. PDAC shows the largest number of these associations.

The most reproducible PGLS-associated genes across cancer lineages are SLC27A1, SMIM7, and AQP9. Each is linked with PGLS in more than 5 cancer types. Because this analysis shows association rather than direction, both PGLS-to-partner and partner-to-PGLS results are reported.
