Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PGK1 Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PGK1 data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 6 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSC), where higher PGK1 Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PGK1 expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
HNSC, LUAD, and LIHC are the cancer types where PGK1 Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
