Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PGGT1BP2 RNA differs between tumor and matched normal tissue in 3 of 18 cancer types tested, making tumor–normal expression one of PGGT1BP2’s most consistent transcriptional readouts.
The strongest signal is observed in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), where PGGT1BP2 RNA is more highly expressed in tumor relative to normal tissue. In most cancer types PGGT1BP2 is over-expressed in tumor, although a few such as KIRP and KICH show the opposite, repressed pattern.
LUAD, KIRP, and KICH are the cancer types where PGGT1BP2 tumor–normal differential expression is most reproducible.
