Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PGGT1B Mutation is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PGGT1B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in uterine corpus endometrial carcinoma (UCEC), where higher PGGT1B Mutation is associated with better disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PGGT1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC show a favorable association.
UCEC, HNSC, and LUSC are the cancer types where PGGT1B Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
