Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PGGT1B mass-spec protein is linked to patient survival in 4 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PGGT1B data layer compared with 27 for mass-spec protein and 4 for mutation status.

The strongest signal is observed in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), where higher PGGT1B mass-spec protein is associated with worse disease-free survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PGGT1B expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as PDAC and UCEC show a favorable association.

GBM, LUAD, and PDAC are the cancer types where PGGT1B mass-spec protein most reproducibly stratifies survival.
