Across TCGA pan-cancer cohorts, PFKM Mutation is linked to patient survival in 11 of 34 cancer types, making it a survival-associated PFKM data layer compared with 21 for mass-spec protein and 5 for mass-spec protein.
The strongest signal is observed in thymoma (THYM), where higher PFKM Mutation is associated with worse overall survival. In most high-consensus cancer types, elevated PFKM expression acts as an unfavorable survival marker, although some lineages such as UCEC and GBM show a favorable association.
THYM, HNSC, and LUSC are the cancer types where PFKM Mutation most reproducibly stratifies survival.
